Paxmail was started in 2021, at the height of people being cancelled over their speech, by three family men — each a father of five or more. They wanted their families’ email in hands they could trust, so they built an alternative.
It runs on proven open-source software, it’s supported by the people who built it, and it’s paid for by its customers, so it answers to them. We believe in freedom, privacy, and the dignity of every human life. You don’t have to share our convictions to use Paxmail. You can simply count on us to keep our word.

02 Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Once you’ve subscribed, our documentation walks you through connecting a custom domain.
03 Can I bring my old mail with me?
Yes. Our sync tools import from IMAP providers that allow PLAIN login, and we document the Thunderbird migration path too.
04 Do you support encrypted email?
Yes. Use Thunderbird with PGP and connect over the standard mail protocols we support.
05 Do you offer aliases and app passwords?
Yes. Both live in your dashboard, including aliases on custom domains.
06 What runs under the hood?
